Shalom Oluwabanke Adetumbi, born in Lagos, Nigeria, popularly known as Banké, has played integral roles in two significant Group Functions and Enterprise Data Technology (GFED Tech) regulatory projects for Barclays. With a proactive approach to task execution and a keen eye for detail, she excels as a project manager spearheading seamless collaboration across various teams, consistently upholding governance standards and facilitating the achievement of project objectives with precision and efficiency.

She is aligned with a couple of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including EMERGE ERG focused on the multigenerational agenda, and currently serves as a Co-Lead for the Black Professional Resource Group. Passionate about fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, she actively contributes to initiatives that promote a culture of belonging and empowerment.

Outside of her 9-5 role, she is a multifaceted artist, with a rich background in music and acting. Beginning her musical journey at a young age, she has participated in and won numerous musical competitions since the age of six. She holds a B.A. degree in Music from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and a diploma in Sound Engineering, showcasing her dedication to her craft and her thirst for knowledge. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to pursue an MSc in Project Management with distinction from the University of Northampton, UK. She is also a proud member of the esteemed Northants Sings Out Choir, under the guidance of renowned musical director Gareth Fuller, as seen on Britain’s Got Talent Series 17.

She thrives on blending her technical expertise with her creative pursuits, finding inspiration and innovation at the intersection of technology and the arts. She looks forward to leveraging her diverse skill set and experiences to make meaningful contributions to both the tech industry and the arts community.
